In the past I have totally overlooked the front stage of my car systems, basically due to the fact that fitting a set of 6X9's is a lot easier
when they are on the rear parcel shelf. But it does make perfect sense to have the music comming up front, due to the fact that is where it was intended to be
heard from and of course the driver is up front too! My choice for front speakers were a set of JL Audio Evolution TR525-CX 5.25-Inch coaxial's. The decision
was based on the fact that with limited space I couldn't afford to have too big a speaker up front and I had nothing but praise for my previous JL Audio 12Inch sub
so I decided to stick to a good thing.
The speakers are simple and solid in design, look good in the car and give a great sound for their price and size. Keeping in mind I didn't want to make holes
in the car for speakers I decided to mount the coaxial's within custom kickpanels low on the car floor, angled towards the driver and passenger. This configuration
still gives enough foot space for the driver with the Suzuki pedals a nice distance from the firewall as you can see in the pictures.
